Coinbase cannot remove its own flag

First real answer from anyone, after eight days of disputes: Coinbase Support, case #27207505, 12 August.

The key sentence, quoted exactly: "the security warnings displayed in Coinbase Wallet are generated by independent, third-party security signal providers. Our support team does not have the ability to manually override, remove, or modify these classifications."

And then the part that makes it structural rather than annoying: they cannot confirm which provider flagged the token. Their recommendation is that I research the security scanners commonly used in the Base ecosystem and submit the contract to them myself.

So, plainly: a wallet displays a warning that hides a token from its owner's portfolio, and the company running that wallet can neither remove the warning nor say who issued it. Not "won't" — cannot.

This mirrors the conclusion from the Crypto.com rounds almost word for word: the fix never lives with the support desk. It lives in data directories and scanner databases, filed elsewhere, with no accountable human at the other end.

The complaint was logged and escalated internally. The next move is what they suggested — going directly to the providers, starting with the Blockaid mistake-report form.

Credit where it's due: this is the first response in this entire experiment that was written by a person rather than a template, and it says something true, even if the truth is uncomfortable.
