How Clanker's promised seconds turned into six wasted hours

Clanker token deployment failure — six hours of reverted transactions

Clanker advertises token deployment in seconds. I tried to launch cBYKO as another BYKO infrastructure experiment. Six hours and roughly $3 later, there was still no token.

The failure was consistent: deployToken() reverted with LockerNotEnabled(). I reproduced it across Project and Legacy liquidity configurations, USDC and WETH pairs, with and without Droid rewards, without an airdrop, and with a Creator Vault. The web interface kept generating a locker configuration rejected by the deployer contract.

The amusing part is that the Droid provisioning step succeeded before the token did. Repeated retries even produced additional Droid state while cBYKO itself remained undeployed.

Nothing here proves anything about the eventual token. It does measure something simpler: the distance between an infrastructure promise measured in seconds and the time required when its deployment path fails.

Figures corrected after publication stay on the page: the old number is struck, not deleted, and the entry that fixed it is dated.
