On-chain audit: 100 transactions, three debunked facts
This week, a full on-chain audit ran through BYKO's entire transaction history: 100 Transfer events since deploy, every one classified — mints, LP adds, buys, sells, LP removals, plain transfers. The reconciled balances matched on-chain balances exactly, down to the decimal, and the total matched the fixed supply of 790,227.
It also debunked three things this diary had recorded as fact.
First: an earlier note claimed Farcaster rewards had gone out to real people, building toward 20 holders. They hadn't — every address that looked external turned out to be DEX routing infrastructure (1inch, LI.FI) passing tokens through in the same transaction, net effect zero.
Second: a recorded $1.35 micro-sell from August 4th. It doesn't exist anywhere in the transaction history — there were no sells that day at all, only two small buys. The closest real transaction is a $1.36 purchase five days later.
Third: the holder numbers were wrong. The diary had recorded roughly 229,000 tokens for the author. The real figure across the author's wallets is 260,599 — 32.98% of supply.
Getting the record wrong and then correcting it in public, with the receipts, is exactly what this diary is supposed to do.
Superseded, 17 August 2026: the holdings figure above no longer matches the chain. Read live from Base at block 50,091,885, the author's disclosed addresses hold 278,173 BYKO — 35.2% of supply, not 260,599 and 32.98%. The wallets were consolidated the same day: BYKO now sits in exactly two wallets.
Figures corrected after publication stay on the page: the old number is struck, not deleted, and the entry that fixed it is dated.
